Founded in 2020, ANVIL RE is an Atlanta-based real estate investment firm focused on acquiring and repositioning neighborhood-serving offices, retail centers, and street retail assets.



Jake Nawrocki founded Anvil RE in 2020. He is responsible for the management and strategic development of the company’s investment portfolio. He has spent more than 18 years in real estate working for public and private real estate vehicles. He is experienced in office and retail acquisitions, institutional and high net worth fundraising, strategy development, and corporate operations. He has been involved in or led over $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions including one of the largest assemblages of concentrated historic property in the United States in South Downtown Atlanta.  


Jake is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate and a CFA Charterholder. An Atlanta native, Jake lives in Sandy Springs with his wife and two children. He enjoys exercising and playing golf with his family, reading books on investing, history, and biographies. 



Taylor is a Co-founder of ANVIL RE.  He is responsible for value-added asset strategies, property operations, company and property marketing, and investor relations. He works alongside Jake to source new investment opportunities and conduct market research. Before transitioning to real estate investment, he worked in marketing and public relations.    


Taylor graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Religion before earning an MBA in Real Estate, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. He is on the board of directors for A+ Squash and Solomon’s Temple Foundation. He is an avid squash player who enjoys playing all racquet sports, traveling, and reading. He lives with his wife in Vinings.

Matthew Mims 


Matthew is an Analyst at ANVIL RE. He joined the company after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business with a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate. His primary responsibilities include conducting market and property research, analyzing investment opportunities, implementing the company's property improvement strategies, and supporting the company's growth strategy.
